2017 Returning Player Registration

Registration for 2017

HPBA returning players are invited to participate in an early registration process for the 2016 HPBA House Baseball & Softball Program beginning Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 12:01AM
Returning players are considered as any player who was on a 2016 HPBA house baseball, HPBA house softball or HPBA travel team roster at the end of the 2016 Summer season.  Players who were on the wait list, left the league or only played HPBA Fall Ball are not considered returning players.  Furthermore, any family with an outstanding balance owed for 2016 or outstanding volunteer obligation for 2016 must get this resolved before they will be eligible to register for the 2017 season.

Returning players that are invited to participate in early registration are not guaranteed a spot in the upcoming season.  There are a limited number of openings in each division and the number of returning players eligible in each division may actually exceed the number of openings available in that division.  Per Chicago Park District guidelines, HPBA must also provide the opportunity for new players to join the league via the lottery process.  Therefore, early registration is first-come, first-served.  Once these spots are filled on a per division basis, all subsequent registrants will be placed on the wait list and required to enter the league via the New Player Lottery guidelines.
For 2017, siblings of returning players will have a secondary registration period for the Pee Wee (7-8 year old) Baseball, Bantam (9-10 year old) Baseball, Midget (11-12 year olds) Baseball and Liberty (14-15 year olds) Baseball Divisions.  This secondary registration period will begin on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:01AM.   At that time, any remaining spots available in these four divisions will be opened to siblings of returning players on a first come, first served basis.  Siblings of returning players who are applying for spots in other divisions (Rookie Baseball, Senior Baseball, Pee Wee Softball, Bantam Softball and Midget Softball) are welcome to do so beginning Saturday, November 19.
